For children aged 4 to 14. It takes about 5 minutes. Please fill in one form per child. Every section gets camps and sleepovers too. New to Scouts? Read our common questions.

We'll place your child in the right section from their date of birth: Squirrels (4 to 6), Beavers (6 to 8), Cubs (8 to 10½) or Scouts (10½ to 14). If a place hasn't come up by the time they're old enough for the next section, we'll move them onto that section's list.

Leaders use text and WhatsApp for things like changes to meeting nights and messages about your child. Untick this if you'd rather they didn't.

Families who help get priority on our waiting list

Each section needs a couple of parents on hand at every meeting. We ask each family for just 2 evenings a term (one each half-term), about 3 hours in total. You don't need any experience or to plan anything, and you choose the dates that suit you. It's also a great way to see what your child gets up to.

Before your child can start

When we offer a place, you'll be invited to our Parent Portal (Online Scout Manager). You must complete and confirm your child's medical, allergy, dietary and photo consent details there. We can't confirm your child's place until this is done. What is the Parent Portal?
